Where is The Flower Field located?
We are a metro east wholesale flower farm, located in rural Madison County near Troy, IL and just 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis.
Does The Flower Field sell retail or to the public?
We do not offer retail services at this time. However, we want to be sure you have access to high quality, locally-grown flowers for your own enjoyment or event. Contact us and we will connect you with one of our trusted florists to help you create something special.
Are donation requests accepted for charitable causes?
Absolutely! Philanthropy and aiding non profits making a difference in the community is important to us and we'd love to donate a flower bouquet (when in season) for your fundraising event. Simply send us a note and we will gladly review the request. Be sure to include the name of the non profit, purpose for serving and event date.
When will The Flower Field have flowers in season?
All of our flowers are grown in the field and we expect to have blooms ready to cut by late April until mid October (so essentially from last frost to first frost).
Are flowers sold online?
No, we are currently not set up for online orders (even though our website shows a cart feature which cannot be removed).
How are wholesale orders submitted?
We receive orders via phone, text or email and will follow up with a text or email confirming the order.
When is the wholesale pricing and product availability list sent out?
The availability list is emailed each Monday morning to wholesale customers when flowers are in season. Contact us to be added to the distribution.
How much lead time is needed to place an order?
Ideally 48 hours but The Flower Field is here to service you so anytime an order is needed, we will do our best to accommodate.
Do I need to prove reseller status?
A copy of the Certificate for Resale (Form CRT-61) is requested at time of first order. Retail sales tax is the responsibility of the reseller.
When are flowers cut?
Flowers are harvested, weather permitting, in the morning or around dusk to provide you with the freshest product available.
How are harvested flowers cared for?
Flowers are bundled and packed in buckets with a holding solution (as appropriate based on flower needs). Some varieties will also be stored in a cooler until transferred.
Do I need to provide buckets?
Buckets are expected to be traded upon receipt of flowers. In addition, The Flower Field provides courtesy bucket washing to keep blooms healthy.
Does The Flower Field provide delivery?
Flowers can be picked up on the farm at a scheduled time OR delivered FREE in the Illinois metro east area (with $200 single order and within 20 miles of farm). Otherwise, a $20 delivery fee is applied to smaller orders and an additional mileage fee is assessed for destinations beyond 20 miles.
What are the payment options?
Payment is accepted via check or Venmo at time of pick up or delivery (unless other arrangements are made ahead of time).
What is The Flower Field's cancellation policy?
Orders are final at the time The Flower Field returns a confirmation text or email.
